GoogleQR – product QR code in PrestaShop

GoogleQR is a lightweight PrestaShop module that automatically generates a QR code leading to the current product card. The code is created directly on the store server, without the use of external services and APIs, thanks to which the solution is fast, independent and compliant with the Content Security Policy (CSP).

Automatic generation of product QR codes

The module retrieves the URL of the currently displayed product and automatically converts it into a QR code. The customer can scan the code with their smartphone and quickly go directly to the product card.

QR code generated directly in the store

GoogleQR generates a QR code image locally on the PrestaShop server. It does not use external generators or API connections. The image is served from the store's domain, which reduces problems with the Content Security Policy and eliminates dependence on external services.

PNG or SVG – automatic fallback

If the PHP GD extension is available on the server, the module generates a QR code in PNG format. In the absence of GD, it automatically uses the SVG format, so that the code can still be viewed and scanned.

Configuring the appearance of the QR code

The module allows you to control the basic parameters of the generated QR code, such as size, margin and error correction level. The available error correction levels are L, M, Q and H.

Integration with the PrestaShop product card

The QR code can be automatically displayed next to product elements using the standard PrestaShop hook mechanism. It does not require an external code generation system or additional infrastructure.
