Geis module for PrestaShop - automatic handling of shipments
The module integrates the PrestaShop store with the Geis shipping system, allowing convenient preparation and sending of parcels directly from the administrative panel. Integration allows you to reduce manual rewriting of order data, improve the shipping process and quickly prepare a label for the courier.
Integration of PrestaShop with Geis
The module uses access data received from Geis. After setting up the sender code and API key, the store can communicate with the carrier's system and use the available shipping services.
The built-in connection check function allows you to verify the correctness of the configuration and the availability of the API even before you start handling shipments.
Automatic preparation of the shipment
Based on the order data, you can prepare the shipment without having to manually enter all the information in the carrier's system. The module supports the pickup process and allows you to specify the parameters of the shipment according to the selected service.
Selection of delivery channel and service
The module allows you to select the appropriate distribution channel and service. Available additional services are selected depending on the selected channel, thanks to which the panel presents options appropriate for a specific type of shipment.
Additional services and shipment security
When preparing the shipment, you can use additional parameters of the shipment, such as:
- shipment insurance,
- SMS notifications for the recipient,
- e-mail notifications,
- note for the courier,
- note for the recipient.
Shipment service for individual customers
The module allows you to prepare the shipment also to private person. The recipient's data can be transferred directly from the PrestaShop order, which facilitates daily order handling.
Multiple parcel handling
Within a single send, you can specify 1 to 3 packages. The solution works well in the case of larger orders, the implementation of which requires the division of the goods into several shipments.
Order number on the label
The module allows you to place the PrestaShop order number on the label. This makes it easier to identify the shipment during picking, packing and subsequent order handling.
Generating shipping labels
Finished labels can be generated in popular formats used in the logistics process:
